In the early hours of April 28, 2025, the annual “Sinai is Safe” parade kicked off, organized by the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt in collaboration with the “Egypt Riders” group, under the patronage of the Ministries of Tourism and Youth and Sports. The event saw broad participation from Egypt’s major motorcycle groups, including “Sharks,” “Arabian Knights,” and “Gold Wing,” as well as notable involvement from several female teams—highlighting the inclusivity and diversity of this national event.
The parade began in front of the Martyr Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel and included more than 130 participants: 83 motorcycles, 10 SUVs, and 10 private cars. The convoy proceeded with meticulous organization toward the city of Dahab, passing through Ayun Musa and Saint Catherine, with full security support from the relevant authorities.
Upon arrival at the Safir Dahab Hotel, participants were warmly welcomed with a reception that showcased authentic Egyptian hospitality. The following day featured local activities in the city, including a visit to the “Laguna” and interactions with foreign tourists who expressed admiration for the event and its organization.
On April 30, the convoy continued to Saint Catherine Monastery despite challenging weather conditions. The journey, marked by spirituality and determination, reaffirmed that “Sinai is Safe” is not merely a sports event—it is a renewed national message.
Engineer Raouf Ghaffar, Head of the Races and Rallies Committee at the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt, commented:
“The ‘Sinai is Safe’ parade has become an annual national symbol reflecting the synergy between sports and tourism, and it affirms Egypt’s capability to host safe and inspiring international events.”
Major General Aly Amer, Head of the “Egypt Riders” group, stated:
“What we achieved in this year’s edition of Sinai is Safe is the result of long-term cooperation between bikers and the club. It embodies the spirit of belonging and professional organization, and we are proud of the message Egypt is sending to the world.”
Wael Abdel-Galil, Deputy General Manager of the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt, added:
“We believe that non-traditional sports such as motorcycling hold a unique power in supporting tourism and promoting Egypt as a safe and exceptional destination for adventure and discipline enthusiasts.”
This year’s parade also witnessed a special participation from the “Jordan Riders” group from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Officially joining the parade on May 1 with more than 20 motorcycles, they embraced the slogan: “Visiting Egypt… Jordanian hearts, Egyptian embraces,” bringing to life the spirit of Arab unity and cross-cultural connection.
“Sinai is Safe 2025” once again affirms Egypt’s ability to host major events that combine passion, discipline, and patriotism in a vivid display of security, beauty, and excellence under a comprehensive national umbrella.
