On the evening of Tuesday, July 30, 2025, the Marina Rest House of the Automobile & Touring Club of Egypt hosted an urgent visit by H.E. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, accompanied by a delegation that included his assistants, Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalafallah, Head of the Tourist Villages Authority, and Brigadier General Mohamed Morgan, Chairman of Presentation Company.
The distinguished guests were warmly received by Eng. Ali Eissa, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, Mr. Mohamed Askar, Head of the Executive Office, Eng. Raouf Ghaffar, Board Member, and Mr. Khaled Taha, Manager of the Marina Rest House.
During the visit, the Minister praised the elegance and high standards of the rest house, reflecting the rich legacy and historical prestige of the club. He also listened to a detailed presentation on the club’s future projects in motorsport and automotive events, highlighting the Club’s role as the sole official representative of Egypt in the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT).
The visit included discussions on expanding cooperation between the Club and both the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The collaboration aims to promote motorsport tourism and generate a positive impact on the tourism, sports, and economic sectors in Egypt—locally, regionally, and internationally.
The evening concluded in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere with a dinner by the scenic lakeside of Marina El Alamein, celebrating the growing partnership between the Club and national institutions.
