Cairo International Airport Witnesses Launch of Cooperation Protocol to Expand International Driving License Services

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance public services and simplify procedures for citizens and travelers, Cairo International Airport has witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt and the Ministry of Interior, aimed at expanding the issuance of International Driving Licenses through new service outlets at the airport.

The protocol was signed on Tuesday, January 7, 2026, by Eng. Ali Eissa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt. Under the agreement, the service will be officially provided at Cairo International Airport, specifically at Terminal 3 and the Air Mall, with plans for future expansion to additional locations nationwide.

The experimental operation of the service has already commenced, paving the way for the official inauguration scheduled for January 25, coinciding with Police Day celebrations. This initiative reflects strong cooperation between Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt and the Ministry of Interior to facilitate access to international driving licenses for travelers.

This protocol represents a pioneering step and marks the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at extending the service network to serve Egyptian citizens as well as foreign residents in Egypt, with gradual expansion across the country.

Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt affirmed that this initiative aligns with its ongoing strategy to modernize services, adhere to international standards, and enhance customer experience, particularly at vital gateways such as Cairo International Airport.
