The FIA World Motor Sport Council has approved the introduction of two new support categories to the European Rallycross Championship, starting in 2026.
The new classes, RX4 and RX5, will see RX4 using existing Rally4 cars, while RX5 will introduce Crosscar vehicles to the series for the first time.
Both classes are designed to expand participation and support the development of the next generation of Rallycross talent, providing more opportunities for young drivers and emerging teams to compete at European and international levels.
