Who are we
The Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt
The club aims to promote automotive tourism awareness, provide social and cultural services to its members, and facilitate means and services for cars and trucks on the road. It also organizes rallies, car racing, karting, and motorcycle racing activities as the sole official representative in Egypt of the international federations for tourism and automobiles (AIT/FIA), motorcycles (FIM), and transport (IRU), in accordance with the laws and regulations of the respective international bodies.
The club also supervises any entity seeking to organize such activities within the Republic and has the right to participate in international events aimed at achieving these goals under the umbrella of these federations. It is also entitled to enter into agreements and protocols with relevant authorities and companies and to organize various types of tours and trips by all available means, either through the club’s own travel agency or other means. To this end, the club may cooperate with both Arab and international automobile clubs.
Club Establishment
[1] A touristic and social club was established in Cairo on April 7, 1924, under the name “Royal Automobile Club of Egypt,” with its headquarters located in the city of Cairo.
[2] On May 27, 1967, Ministerial Decree No. 26 of 1967 was issued by the Ministry of Youth to merge the Touring Club into the Egyptian Automobile Club. The club’s current name became “The Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt.”
[3] On December 16, 1971, Presidential Decree No. 3035 of 1971 was issued, granting the Ministry of Tourism the authority to supervise and oversee the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt.
By the year 2035, we aspire to be the leading automobile club in the Middle East and North Africa, dedicated to promoting mobility, preserving cultural heritage, strengthening social bonds, and sharing experiences, innovations, and insights that shape the future of global mobility.
Our mission is to be the leading advocate, service provider, and source of exceptional support for drivers and travelers.

We aim to facilitate a dynamic exchange of knowledge, culture, and experiences, with the goal of becoming a beacon for automobile clubs across the Middle East and North Africa.
With a strong belief in the “one-family” model, we nurture a sense of connection among our members by organizing social gatherings, events, and activities that foster stronger relationships and meaningful engagement across all current and future facilities, ensuring everyone feels welcome and included.
The club empowers its human assets—team members and management—through state-of-the-art training programs and technologies to stay aligned with ongoing developments.
In fulfilling our mission, we actively engage with government authorities, stakeholders, and relevant organizations to shape policies, regulations, and infrastructure that prioritize road safety, environmental sustainability, and the interests of drivers.
Furthermore, we cherish our rich culture and heritage by showcasing Egypt’s historical, natural, and cultural wonders.
We support motorsports by encouraging the younger generation through the supervision and organization of various competitions in coordination with international organizations in this field. We also aim to provide youth with meaningful activities that enhance their skills and interests, motivating them to carry the torch forward to future generations.
