Egypt enjoys a wealth of Historical and Classic cars dating back to more than 100 years ago post WW1 , testifying to the elder wealth and favorable economic conditions witnessed by prominent Egyptian society and long established families that acquired celebrity models of
Great Marques , partly well kept and looked after by successive generations.
Moving on to the dramatic political and economic changes that impacted the society since 1952 , alot of Classic cars were scraped, abandoned over the 60s and 70s due to tighter living conditions and difficulties to procure spare parts and keep cars running .
However , there remain to exist today about 400 -500 Classic and Historical cars ranging from fairly good to perfect conditions, in line with international standards, and upwards of 1200 restorable vehicles that are by all means a worthwhile considerable potential fortune for Egypt .
Sparked in 2004 through our first ever Classic Car participation into Cairo Motor Fair ” Automech Formula”, Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt ( ATCE) , sought the importance of setting up a Classic and Historical cars Committee, as an integral part of the club activities, becoming the natural supporter , and ultimate parent thereof.
The ATCE forum has paved the way for growing and expanding the activities in more organised and institutional pattern .
Around 2014 and after lengthy elaborations, we successfully joined the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens ( FIVA) becoming the sole ASN for Egypt . This have fortunately necessitated upgrading the Committee structure into “Atce Classic car Chamber” to provide more sustainable structure with better Financial and technical independence to ensure continuity , as mandated by FIVA.
Along with the enrolment of annual events , Classic car Exibitions, Parades, Concours d’elegance, and various functions, the population of classic car community grew exponentially among all demographics , more particularly among youngsters, rendering a promising continuity for this precious Heritage.

A mechanically propelled road vehicle that should be at least 40 years old , preserved and maintained in correct condition, not used for every day transportation being part of mechanical, & cultural heritage .
Historical Classic cars must be very well maintained whereby the owner should have acquired the car for special admiration to a celebrity model .
Never been used as a commercial vehicle .
