Activities
The Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt is not just a sports or social club; it is a vibrant community that offers a diverse range of cultural, social, and touring activities bringing members together in an environment of fun and collaboration. Through these activities, the club is keen to strengthen bonds among members and deepen their social and cultural relationships.
The Board of Directors is assisted by specialized (technical) committees formed by the Board. These committees have advisory functions and consist of one or more board members, one of whom shall act as the committee’s rapporteur, along with a number of club members who possess relevant expertise in the committee’s area of work. These members are selected by the Board in accordance with the club’s statutes. The total number of members in any committee shall not exceed ten, including the rapporteur, and shall not be fewer than three, with the quorum for meetings being no less than this minimum.
A record must be prepared for each committee meeting and submitted to the Executive Office, and subsequently to the Board of Directors, along with the necessary recommendations. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject these recommendations without providing reasons.
Social activities are a fundamental pillar of the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt, as the club is committed to providing an exceptional social environment through parties and events that strengthen the bonds among members. These activities include musical concerts, social gatherings, and artistic performances that bring members together in an atmosphere of warmth and friendship.
Among the most prominent social events organized by the club are parties held on various occasions such as New Year’s celebrations, Eid al-Adha, and Valentine’s Day. During these occasions, musical concerts and festive meals are arranged in wonderful settings that make members feel comfortable and appreciated.
In addition to cultural and social activities, the club organizes numerous recreational trips that take members on tours to various tourist destinations across Egypt. These trips provide members with opportunities to relax, enjoy new adventures, and discover new places within a comfortable group setting.
The Social Committee in Alexandria has also hosted several entertainment events along the seaside, including a memorable Moonlight Party that featured lively interaction among members through music and specially prepared delicious foods for the occasion.
The Races and Rallies Committee is one of the specialized committees of the club. It was formed based on Article Two of the Club’s Bylaws, which states that one of the main objectives of establishing the club is to organize and practice automobile and motorcycle racing activities, promote traffic awareness, and enhance tourism and social awareness through sports.
The committee supports and assists the Sports Activities Department of the club in implementing its plans and programs by providing technical opinions and practical suggestions, ensuring the development of motorsports activities in accordance with the highest local and international standards.
A mechanically propelled road vehicle that should be at least 40 years old , preserved and maintained in correct condition, not used for every day transportation being part of mechanical, & cultural heritage .
Historical Classic cars must be very well maintained whereby the owner should have acquired the car for special admiration to a celebrity model .
